Dados Centrados no Paciente: um tema cada vez mais importante na Oncologia

Cada paciente reage de modo distinto. E isso precisa ser levado em conta.

Um artigo publicado recentemente destaca que soluções de tecnologia da informação estão se difundindo rapidamente na oferta de cuidados oncológicos.1 Nesse contexto, se observa claro movimento na direção aos temas de “dados centrados no paciente” e interoperabilidade.

Dados centrados no paciente se referem a sistemas de informação focados nas necessidades do paciente, suas preferências, e valores individuais. Já a interoperabilidade se refere à capacidade de diferentes sistemas de informação em saúde se comunicarem e trocarem dados entre si de forma segura, eficiente e facilmente compreendida por todas as partes envolvidas.

Para chegar a essas conclusões, esse artigo analisa três iniciativas tecnológicas recentes: The Clinical Trials Rapid Activation Consortium (CTRAC), Minimal Common Oncology Data Elements (mCODE), e electronic Patient-Reported Outcomes (e-PROs). Cada uma delas está em um estágio diferente de maturidade, mas promete melhorar a prestação de cuidados oncológicos.
